If scientists and doctors can figure out our genetic DNA and develop targeted therapies for certain diseases, then we have to be able to figure out what foods might be hindering our bodies and what foods might help our bodies. The news and doctors have repeatedly reported that eating too much red meat and junk food is bad for our bodies. This is something we already knew. I am speaking of specific food items in recipes and how they affect you.
Until that day comes, simply listen to your body. Spend some time discovering what happens after you eat that big plate of lasagna or those raw peppers, or that bowl of ice cream. Do some research to discover what works and what doesn't. That old saying of "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" and yet we keep repeating insanity. No wonder we have so many health problems in the USA and obesity.
Not all foods fit all people. Spend the time and if you can, the money to discover what foods you might be allergic to, what foods fuel your body such as a green protein shake and what make you feel good. Create a food diary on a sheet of paper and write down what happens to your body. Then once you realize what happens, mark that food off or keep it on your list.
