Kalamazoo Public Library

Kalamazoo Public Library is “My Library”

The Kalamazoo Public Library is a place for everyone to explore, discover and engage. Organized in 1860 and opened to the general public in 1872, the Kalamazoo Public Library now serves a district population of 116,000 through five locations plus multiple outreach ventures. Many Southwest Michigan residents use Kalamazoo Public Library through reciprocal agreements with neighboring libraries.

“My hometown library. ‪@KzooLibrary used to share space with a museum and planetarium but got this beautiful brand new building in 1998. I loved the old place and I love the new, even if I don’t visit enough.” –Andrew Gray
